About the Artisan:: Ashish Das and his family continue the legacy of the Wood craft he learned from his father Tapan Das. They source the wood, get it cut into smaller pieces and then work by hand using sandpaper and mustard oil to prepare the wood. They use hand machines to carve and scoop- and fashion the products into shapes and designs. They prefer using neem, acacia and guava wood and no chemicals have been used in making these items.
