About the Craft: Pitta Ramulu, a national awardee carpet weaver from Telangana has been making exquisite kalamkari dhurries for the past 40 years. A master craftsperson started with only 1 loom now has around 10. A laborious craft, it can take up to a month to make one large-sized carpet. Made with natural colors on cotton, cotton-wool blend, jute blend they will last a lifetime
