About the Craft and Artisan:Rustic Route (previously The Charkha) is a social initiative started to develop 1st generation artisans by transferring skills from last generation artisans of Bengal. It is a women led organisation and we have a production unit of block printing, hand embroidery, dye and tailoring. They started in 2021 and have trained 120 women with disabilities and other marginalised background to train in these skills and by providing them with a dignified livelihood.
