About the Craft and Artisan :: Lohar Mustaq, a copper bell artisan from Kutch, Gujarat has been practicing the craft since the past 15 years. The skill has been passed on from his grandfather and is a craft practiced exclusively in that particular region in India with its speciality being the amazing sound it produces. The entire family is involved where-in the team comprises of 8-10 people, with women doing 30-40 percent of the work.
The products range from keychains to bells to musical instruments and the US has been their largest market since the past 45-50 years while gaining popularity in India now.
