The artisans working at Rajasthani Creations have inherited the craft skills from their ancestors who have handcrafted Pagdis or Turbans for the Royals of Rajasthan. With 3-4 units across the state, Rajasthani Creations has involved men and women to follow the traditional technique of Leheriya.
About the Craft: Leheriya is a traditional tie-dye technique practiced in Rajasthan, India. This technique derives its name from ‘Leher’ or waves, which is the pattern derived on the cloth after dyeing. Leheriya has become a rarely practiced craft in the recent years and only a few artisans from across India follow the legacy method of making a hand-done Leheriya.
