A. Summary

  • HANDS ON Dastkar is an initiative started by Dastkar to expand its support to the artisan by an online platform that sells handcrafted works of Indian artisans with fair trade.

  • Every product is handmade, so small variations and irregularities are natural, it doesn’t mean the item is flawed.

  • Return and refund are only for damaged or incorrect received item, if return request is raised within 48 hours of delivery.

  • We view protection of your privacy as a very important principle. We understand clearly that You and Your Personal Information is one of our most important assets. We store and process Your Information like name, address, contact details for communication purpose (no data is being shared with other).

If you're a member of our WhatsApp shopping program, we’ll take additional information like your PAN card and other Govt. authorised id. This is to ensure the transactions are regulated under Income-tax Act, 1961.

  • We may update these terms occasionally. If you continue using our site after changes, that means you accept the new terms.

Acceptance of Terms

Eligibility

  • By placing an order, you confirm that any information you provide is true, accurate, and complete.

 

Handcrafted Nature of Products

  • All products on our website are handmade by artisans. There may be small differences in color, size, texture, or design between pieces. These differences are part of the beauty of handcrafted goods, and not considered defects.

  • We reserve the right to discontinue or modify any product line, design, or variant at any time, without prior notice.

 

Ordering & Payment

  • We use secure third-party payment gateways to process your payment; we do not store sensitive payment credentials ourselves.

 

Intellectual Property

  • HANDS ON Dastkar explicitly reserve all intellectual property rights in all text, programs, products, processes, content and other materials, which appear on this Site. 

  • Access to this Website does not confer and shall not be considered as conferring upon anyone any license under any of HANDS ON Dastkar or any third party's intellectual property rights. 

  • All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to HANDS ON Dastkar. Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the permission of HANDS ON Dastkar. The names and logos and all related product and service names, design marks and slogans are the trademarks or service marks of HANDS ON Dastkar, its affiliates, its partners or its suppliers.

  • All content on our website images, text, designs, logos is either owned by HANDS ON Dastkar or used with permission by our artisan partners.

User Conduct

  • You agree to use the website lawfully, and not to misuse it (for example, engaging in fraudulent or harmful activities).

  • Any comments, reviews, or feedback you share with us may be used by HANDS ON Dastkar for business and promotional purposes; by submitting them, you give us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to do so.

 

WhatsApp Shopping Program Terms

​

  • Members must respect group norms. If a member violates guidelines, admins may cancel membership without refund.

  • While sharing the product image over WhatsApp, we will do our best to make sure the color and other details are accurately shared. However, due to change in the screen resolution and light in which photo is taken, colours may slightly differ.

  • For product categories needing special packaging (e.g., glassware, pottery), there may be additional packaging fees. These are separate from shipping costs and will appear in your final invoice.

  • We encourage you to arrange the pickup either via any porter service or you may choose self-pickup; in any case, you or your representative will bear the pickup or shipping cost, as relevant.

  • Return is only applicable if the received product is damaged or incorrect, in that case, you need to raise return request within 24hr hours of pickup.

 

Data Privacy & Protection

  • We collect personal data like name, address, phone, email, PAN along with other government, and your purchase preferences as needed for order processing, KYC, and communications.

  • Collection of PAN is mandatory for WhatsApp Shopping program, under the Income-tax ACT 1961.

  • This data is used for order fulfilment, improving your shopping experience, sending relevant updates, and for WhatsApp shopping communications (if you opt in).

  • We keep your personal data strictly confidential and do not share it with third parties, except with trusted service providers (couriers, payment gateways) when required to fulfill your order. We may also disclose data if required by law.

  • We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or misuse.

  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. You may also withdraw consent for marketing messages.

  • By joining our WhatsApp shopping program, you agree to receive promotional messages; you may opt out anytime by notifying us.

 

Modifications to Terms

  • We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, without prior notice.

  • Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our site.

  • If you continue using the website after modifications, that means you accept the updated Terms.

 

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
